Polaroids

Inspired by the late John Running. John was a successful photographer based in Flagstaff, Ariz. He taught me how to make a portrait and how to love unconditionally. This erotica series was shot over the past few years using his Polaroid 110A which he gifted to me before he died. The film is hard to find, expired and precious. In the past, one would make a Polaroid as a light test, before shooting with film. Now the process has reversed, and I see it as the end product after working the shot with my digital cameras. I’ve always loved photographing erotica, but I was told to keep it a secret. That it would hurt my career and people won’t take me seriously. Well, I am finally coming out of the closet and putting it out to the world without fear.
