I recently brought Kat on to be the lead photographer for a major new marketing program here at ICW Group. The project entails photographing a broad spectrum of corporate customers in a variety of settings across the country. Both she and her work have been a perfect fit, and a major contributor to the project’s success. Beyond being a highly skilled photographer from a technical standpoint, her warm and sincere personality enables her to put subjects at ease during their photo session. This intangible quality truly sets Kat apart, and results in outstanding work.
Kat is also highly organized and responsive, which in turn helps me meet many tight deadlines. I look forward to Kat being our company’s primary corporate photographer for years to come.
I often depend upon Kat for editorial freelance work for The Sacramento Bee. She delivers wonderful storytelling images that not only convey the story, but her pictures tell us about the people, too. She has worked with us on a freelance basis since 2012. I love Kat’s communication style. She is very bright, very open and positive.
The many stories Kat has done for The Bee are for our Travel section. She photographs a wide variety of scenes and people in interesting ways. She is consistent in meeting deadlines and always digs deeper into what the story is about. If you desire accuracy, dependability and creativity for your editorial needs, I wholeheartedly recommend Kat.
I first met Kat when she was sent as a freelancer to shoot artwork for a story in the San Diego Union Tribune. I was immediately struck by the ease in which she worked with the opera singers (sometimes a notoriously difficult bunch) and how she introduced herself to every single person in the room. Making them comfortable resulted in some stunning pictures and I made a note to use her as much as possible in the future, schedule and budget permitting.
Kat can shoot high end donors and social functions and capture the essence of the event and the humanity of the subject. She can also capture the drama and grandeur of live opera which presents its own challenges – quickly changing lighting, movement, dance, special effects and sometimes hundreds of things happening on stage at once. I have been extremely pleased with work she has done for us, but on top of that she is prompt, punctual, and a great communicator – all essential as opera sometimes has a brisk 24 hour turnaround.
I heartily recommend Kat for your photography needs and all of us at San Diego Opera look forward to working with her again.
I am a Health and Wellness Advocate, Menopause Awareness Expert, Author and Speaker. As a result of my women’s wellness journey, and in response to the overwhelming thirst of ever-expanding audience for empowering information, my weekly blog, Menopause MondaysTM was born at EllenDolgen.com.
Menopause MondaysTM allows me an expansive platform from which I can broaden my discussion of menopause, women’s health, and life as a menopausal woman. I approached Kat to do a photo shoot for me that results in photos that would help women get to know me and also would be relevant to the topics I blog about.
Kat immediately sent me an in-depth list of questions. We also, chatted prior to the event and very quickly she understood my objectives and created photos that perfectly suited my mission.
Having a photo shoot done can daunting to a newbie! But not with Kat, by the time she arrived for the shoot, I couldn’t wait to begin! She is a master at being creative and calming at the same time. Her tremendous expertise resulted in women around the world feeling like I am their best friend, who happens to know a lot about menopause! Kat was a great asset in helping me boost my social media presence. She is truly fantastic!
